If you love mason jars as much as we do, then you’re going to love this post. Today, we’re covering the different ways you can use mason jars at your wedding. Many of these ideas are DIY projects so if you’re looking to get your hands dirty then these projects are perfect for you.

1. Cocktails

This idea is nothing new, but still a great addition to your wedding. Mason jars act as the perfect glass for welcome drinks and can even be given to guests as a gift or favour. Adding a bit of twine and a personalised name tag gives it a special touch.

2. Dessert

We just love this one. If you’re looking for ways to make your wedding truly unique, what about serving dessert in mason jars? It’s not only a really cute option but it can double as a gift, allowing guests to take their desserts home with them.

3. Lighting

Using mason jars as lighting is very simple and pretty. Now, there are a variety of options – a few of the common ones are using them as candle holders, lanterns, or even solar lamps. Get creative with placements by hanging the jars from the ceiling or creating a hanging chandelier. The options are endless, you just have to be creative.

4. Centerpieces

If you’re looking to add a country, rustic or vintage feel to your wedding, then using mason jars as centerpieces are perfect. Create a cluster or row of jars filled with flowers or candles. Add some colour or texture by decorating them with glitter, paint or even lace or twine. These additions are time consuming but could be a very cool DIY project for handy brides.

Tip: Remember mason jars are small, so this idea only works if you’re not planning for large flower arrangements.

5. Favours

As we mentioned earlier, mason jars can make for great wedding gifts. Fill them with sweets, bath salts or ingredients for cookie recipes (there are lots of options). Personalise the gifts by adding some ribbon or twine, plus a label or card to say “thank you for coming”.
