We created our own wedding thank you cards because we wanted to say a personal thank you to all of our suppliers, friends and family that made our day so special. The journey towards the most perfect thank you card started long before the big day, by making some thank you card bunting using the ribbon that matched our colour scheme.
We had asked our photographer to get a great photo of us with the bunting. Above is the picture he took.
We then used the Snapfish website to put the photo onto a blank photo card. There are so many card designs to choose from on Snapfish, but with this one you can write inside and completely control the design of the card. The front of the card is filled by the photo of us with the bunting and the back of the card is personalised as shown in the picture below:
So that people didn’t receive the same old generic thank you card, we included something personal about each guest or couple, whether it was something about what happened at the wedding, or the gift they gave us. Because we’d asked guests for contributions toward our honeymoon, rather than gifts, for those guests that did make a contribution, we put together a short note about all the amazing things we’d done on our honeymoon so they knew how much we appreciated their help making the honeymoon so special.
For those in the wedding party, we also included a few snaps of the big day too, particularly if there were some photos of us together with them.
We enjoyed creating the thank you cards and writing them. Our guests and suppliers really appreciated the effort we’d made to say a special thank you.
How are you going to say thank you to everyone who is part of your big day? Let us know in the comments below.
