The Yorkshire Wedding Fayre

Yorkshire Wedding Fayre

We were delighted to attend The Yorkshire Wedding Fayre at Magna near the Meadowhall Shopping Centre on Sunday. We had so much fun meeting lots of lovely brides to be (and grooms to be of course!), approx 500 in total. There were around 65 of the region’s best suppliers at the event, so there were plenty of opportunity to make some headway with those all important wedding plans!

Here are our favourite picks for those who couldn’t make it along on Sunday:

The Yorkshire Wedding Fayre Graffiti Wall
The Yorkshire Wedding Fayre Graffiti Wall

This is a picture of me on the Air Graffiti wall, which was so much fun! You have your picture taken in front of a green screen and then the picture is uploaded onto a huge graffiti wall. You’re then able to place your photo on one of many different backgrounds and add some of your own creative flair by spray painting your own picture or message. You can also add some amusing props, such as moustaches, hats and fancy hairstyles for a bit of a giggle! Thankfully I avoided the moustaches on Sunday, but you get the idea of what you can do. What’s more, you can actually hire this for your wedding! I spoke to Molly who was on the stand, who explained that the hire comes with two members of staff and a DVD of all of the pictures. This would be a perfect way to keep your guests entertained and a fun alternative to a guest book! This was one of the most popular stands at the show.

Another of our favourites at The Yorkshire Wedding Fayre was Blessed Bridal, who were exhibiting bridal wear. Blessed Bridal had some beautiful bridal gowns and accessories, which were shown off during the fashion show on Magna’s own catwalk.

PA Jewellery, based in Walkey in Sheffield, were also at the wedding show, showing off some of their stunning wedding rings and jewellery! They were also offering a free ring cleaning service for brides to be, but the lovely people from PA jewellery also cleaned my engagement and wedding rings, which has made them sparkle like new. Thanks PA Jewellery! You can certainly see how they get such good reviews for their service.

We listened to the beautiful music played by the Escafeld Quartet who were on one of the stands and the Fayre. What a fantastic thing to have at your wedding! When my husband and I got married, we had a string duo and all of our guests loved them. A great way to keep your guests entertained before and after the ceremony . The Escafeld Quartet were just as good. It’s a great way to make your ceremony extra special and is also a good way to keep your guests entertained before and after the ceremony!  You may think that a string duo or quartet plays only traditional music, but you’d be wrong! Escafeld Quartet played a mixture of classical and more contemporary tunes, such as Bruno Mars’ “Marry You”.  They are even able to play some Bollywood hits! Definitely worth looking up if you’re interested in some sophisticated entertainment at your wedding!

Have you ever wondered where the big illuminated lettering comes from when you read wedding blogs? Well, we found some at The Yorkshire Wedding Fayre – it was hard to misss! Event Light and Sound can help you decorate your venue with light. They had a huge illuminated Mr and Mrs display and a red heart. They looked fantastic! I’ve seen some amazing wedding shots using these as a backdrop.

The Wedding Angels were at the Fayre to help with all of the brides’ stationary needs. If you are the creative type they can also help you bring your own design to life with their own printing service. Oh, and did you know, they even do save the dates on a magnet!
